Family-Owned HVAC Since 2010
We're a family-owned full-service HVAC contractor based in Oakville. We grew on word-of-mouth, and we're still that company: one number, one team, one name behind every job.
We're a family-owned full-service HVAC contractor based in Oakville. We grew on word-of-mouth, and we're still that company: one number, one team, one name behind every job.

IKAD Mechanical is a family-owned full-service plumbing & HVAC company that opened its doors in Oakville in 2010. What started as one truck and a small crew is now a team installing and servicing heating, cooling, ventilation and plumbing across Halton, Peel and Hamilton, for homes, custom builds, restaurants, daycares and industrial facilities.
The company was founded by Mohanad, the name customers mention by name in reviews on HomeStars, who still answers the phone on most weekdays and is on site for every custom-home walkthrough. We grew the slow way: showing up on time, sizing equipment correctly, and standing behind the work. That's why customers who hired us in 2011 are still calling, and why builders trust us on their next subdivision. We don't subcontract installs and we don't outsource service.
Mohanad founded IKAD Mechanical in 2010 and personally answers the phone, runs site visits, and is on most install jobs in 2026. He's a TSSA-certified G2 (commercial gas fitting) and G3 (residential gas fitting) licensed contractor, ECRA/ESA licensed for HVAC electrical, and has 15+ years of installing across Halton.
Halton homeowners who hire IKAD work directly with the owner from quote to commissioning, not through a commissioned salesperson. Mohanad is the name mentioned by reviewers on HomeStars ("Mohanad and his team were personable and patient") and on our Google Business Profile.
License & certification IDs available on request — TSSA contractor ID, ECRA/ESA registration #, HRAI member ID, WSIB clearance. Property managers and builders, ask at quote stage and we'll share copies.
IKAD Mechanical opened its doors in Oakville in 2010, when Mohanad bought his first service truck and started taking calls from homes in the Glen Abbey and Bronte neighbourhoods. The decision to start the company came out of a frustration that's familiar to anyone who has hired a tradesperson in the GTA: too many contractors over-promise on the phone, send a different crew than the one who quoted, and disappear after the warranty starts.
The original idea was simple. Show up when you said you would. Size the equipment to the home, not to whatever happened to be on the truck. Stand behind the work after the cheque clears. Fifteen years and 1,200+ jobs later, that's still how we operate. The trucks are newer and the team is bigger, but every install lead still walks every job from quote through final commissioning, and the owner still answers the phone on most weekdays.
What started in Oakville's Glen Abbey is now a trusted HVAC operation across seven cities. We've installed in heritage homes, post-war bungalows, 1980s subdivisions, 2000s builder-grade two-storey homes, and 5,000+ sq.ft. custom builds in every part of our service area:
No travel surcharge to any of these cities. Same-day or next-day response everywhere in our service area during business hours.
Working on natural gas, propane, refrigerant lines and combustion equipment without proper licensing in Ontario isn't just risky, it's illegal. We hold every credential the work requires:
We provide certificates of insurance, license numbers and TSSA contractor IDs to property managers, builders and corporate clients on request. Just ask when you're getting the quote.
Most of what people remember about a contractor isn't the equipment, it's the experience around it. Here's the cadence we follow on every install, residential or commercial:
About 70% of our work is residential: furnace and AC replacements, water heaters, in-floor heating, ductwork retrofits, and custom-home mechanical packages. The other 30% is commercial: rooftop unit replacements on plazas in Mississauga and Hamilton, daycare duct overhauls, restaurant kitchen hood and make-up air installations, and PM (preventive maintenance) contracts on multi-tenant properties across the GTA.
Customer types we work with regularly:
You don't have to take our word for any of this. Verify everything:
Manual J load calculation on every install. Equipment matched to your home, not the unit we're pulling out.
Our schedule is our reputation. Builders coordinate their trades around us because we don't slip dates.
If something needs a second visit, we come back. Callbacks aren't billable, we built our business on getting it right the first time.
